I do agree that diversity is important not only in the workplace but in all surroundings of your life. However, it is substantially important in an organization and in a workplace for many reasons. It is a great way for teams to be exposed to unique ideas and to come up with unique solutions to problems. Innovation happens best when you have a certain amount of variety in the ideas that team mates put forward. That?s is because of my own background and how racially mixed I am. I find this to be a great quality because I am now able to relate with others on a different and more personal level. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about the differences in others and ultimately how unique each one of us are from each. It is beautiful that we are all created from two different people who are created from others. Our ancestors go way back and we are all different and mixed and we should appreciate ourselves and others for that.
